PHP code doesn't need to be compiled. However, if you want to run PHP on your home server to edit PHP code on your computer, and test it, than you need to install PHP. I recommend installing Wamp for a easy install.

Everyone that replied above are idiots, sorry but it's true. Poker is the most profitable business that you can create online. The problem is that it requires a lot of start up cash to get a gambling license, and to design a poker software, and website if you can't do it yourself.
