There are many different methods of generating traffic to your website. That being said, what works best for others may not work best for you. The key is to go where your target audience is, and cater to them there.

Sitemaps generally have links to all of your websites pages in a format that's easy for search engines to read. This means search engines can find and index your website's pages quickly and easily. Needless to say, that can be pretty useful!
