I think both! The design will attract more and will look more professional. The SEO will give you more enteries but if the site look bad than the visitors can close the site fast or will think its a no good product or even a scam.

From my point of view, have your own domain-website and from there send links and affiliate.

Clickbank is better for information based, digital products, guides. Amazon is better for physical goods.
