Digital artists and offshore companies – any benefit?

I’m a full-time illustrator working remotely with clients all over the world. Is there any reason for someone like me to bother setting up an offshore company?

Actually, yes. I’ve been a digital artist for years and made the switch two years ago. What I found was that even as a freelancer, having an offshore company gave me a much cleaner setup with clients, especially agencies. They prefer invoicing a registered business.
