Is it safe to move a laptop while it is still on? When not in hibernation it still has moving parts so can you carry it around while it is still up and running or do you have to turn it off each time?
 
I would say it is safe to move a laptop as long as it is closed. I wouldn't suggest moving a laptop while it is on because I have heard people drop it while they open the hinge. It also depends on where do you go, I would say it is better to turn off the laptop because it still loses battery power if you leave it on even if you close the part.
