How can I add page numbers to multiple PDF files at once?

I have several PDF files from different folders, and adding page numbers one by one is taking too much time. Some files are small, while a few have many pages. I need a simple way to number all PDFs together without opening each file manually.

This happens a lot when PDFs are scattered in different folders and you just want page numbers on all of them without opening each file again and again. Doing it one by one gets boring pretty fast, especially when some files are short and others are long reports.

If you only have a few PDFs, you can open them in something like Acrobat or even a free editor and add page numbers from the header and footer option. But the issue is you still have to repeat the same thing for every file, and it doesn't really save time when the count goes up.
For batch work, I've seen people use Softaken PDF Numbering Software. It lets you process multiple PDFs together instead of handling each file separately.

One small tip from experience, always check one file first after numbering. Sometimes the position of page numbers looks fine on one PDF but slightly off on another depending on layout.
