Army PT Score Calculator Accuracy Question

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a quick question about the Army PT score calculator. I was messing around with different scores and noticed some inconsistencies in how the final numbers add up. Specifically, I’m wondering if the calculator rounds up or down for push-ups, sit-ups, or run times. Also, do different calculators online use slightly different scoring methods, or should they all match the official Army standards exactly?

If anyone has experience using the official scoring system or has insight into how the calculations work, I’d really appreciate the help. Just trying to make sure I’m getting an accurate read on where I stand.

Thanks in advance!

The official Army PT score calculations follow a set standard, but some online calculators may introduce slight variations due to rounding differences or outdated formulas.

For push-ups and sit-ups, the Army typically does not round—your raw count determines your score directly from the official chart. For the run, times are usually rounded down to the nearest whole second (not up). If you're using an Army PT score calculator, make sure it's based on the most recent standards, as some may have outdated scoring methods.

If you're seeing inconsistencies, double-check against the official Army score charts. The best way to ensure accuracy is to refer to the Army’s own calculator, if available.
