Keyword Frequency

Keyword frequency denotes the frequency with which a keyword phrase is included on a web page. In web page optimization, be careful not to over-optimise the term so that it becomes keyword stuffing.

Keyword Difficulty

Keyword Difficulty The keyword difficulty metric measures the difficulty involved in ranking for a given term based on how prominent that term is, and competitors. The more complex the keyword, the more time or backlinks it will require.

Keyword Density

Keyword density is the ratio of times a term or phrase appears on a web page. For those of you who don't think this metric is important, when the keyword frequency is excessively above the optimal level, search engines can confuse it with term stuffing. Therefore, any major or minor search keywords should not be too high. For example, if a word is repeated five times in a 200 words write-up then the keyword density will be 2.5 percent. Though there may not be such an ideal keyword density, 3-4% is considered good practice in SEO.

Keyword Proximity

It refers to the distance between two words on a web page.
