What Is the Future of Farming in India Punjab?
We all know punjab has been a fertile land and people have managed to survive even without produce price guarantee in region. The real question is how long punjab's natural resources such as ground water, soil will last and is it worth to buy new land to expand farming? As governments are not showing any serious concern about depleting ground water as they allowing more and more tubewell connections without bills, just for the shake of votes. On the other hand poor farmers most of them un-educated dont really know how bigger loss they are doing to punjab permanently. My point of view Punjab has always been considered a fertile region known for agriculture with majority of population linked to the profession. I suppose it is a good choice to be a farmer in Punjab.
