Hey everyone,
I am working on scaling a site that still uses a Cisco 2504 controller which we sourced through ORM Systems, and we now need a large bump in AP capacity. The L-LIC-CT2504-25A license looks like the fastest way to add twenty five more APs, but since the 2504 is already an older platform I want to be cautious before loading it up that much.
If anyone has hands on experience with this license, I would appreciate your insight:
Since this upgrade pushes the hardware close to its limits, I want to avoid any surprises after deployment. If you have used L-LIC-CT2504-25A recently and have feedback good or bad I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

- Did the e delivery activation process go smoothly with the PAK and Smart Licensing workflow?
- After installing the license, did all twenty five APs join correctly or were there any certificate problems, join failures or version conflicts?
- Did your controller need a specific firmware release before it recognized the added AP capacity?
- And once the site was fully expanded, did the 2504 remain stable in terms of CPU, memory and general responsiveness during peak traffic?
