Anyone using filters to archive only selected IMAP emails?

I don't always need a complete mailbox backup, so I was searching For Backup IMAP Emails locally with the option to archive only emails from a certain period. Most tools I tried either exported everything or had very limited filtering options.

While testing the MacSonik IMAP Backup Tool, I noticed it includes a date-based mail filter. You simply specify the start and end dates, and it exports only the emails that fall within that range. That turned out to be incredibly useful for creating yearly archives without downloading unnecessary data.

I also liked that the software gives you control over attachments. You can migrate emails without attachments if you're trying to reduce storage usage, or save those attachments separately as PDF files instead of deleting them. This flexibility makes organizing archived data much easier.

Another helpful feature is duplicate email removal. If you're combining multiple accounts, the application can identify identical emails using fields like Subject, From, To, and Body before completing the backup. That kept my archive much cleaner than expected.

The software works with major IMAP-enabled services and supports both Windows and macOS systems, including newer Apple Silicon Macs. Has anyone else relied on these filtering options for long-term email archiving?
