I like all animals, but for home I prefer cats
As I know many people suffer from allergies, for them short-haired breeds will be better. For example you can check this article - "are Siberian cats hypoalergenic?". I don't have such problems and I want to buy Siberian cat, what do you think about this breed? I saw photos, they are really beautiful.
