Does links from Wordpress.com or Blogger counts after recent updates?

Links from wordpress.com work well for SEO? I am sure Google crawls such links more often than others, but does this really works in Search Engine Optimization? Also how Google sees links from sub domains?

Yes it does still work well only if you built Tier 2 links to it to boost up the link juice to them.

Google crawls a site depending on how often your site is updated.
