Is it possible to find a girl for a real relationship in video chat, or is it just for flirting?

I often hang out in video chats, and I notice that most of them are just for flirting or fun. But I'm curious - is it realistic to find a girl there for a serious relationship? Has anyone ever tried to transfer dating from video chat to real life?

Most people use video chats for fun, but that doesn't mean serious dating is impossible. I had a similar situation - I also thought video chats were unsuitable for real dating until I tried video cam. Unlike dating sites, you see a person at once, hear his voice, and read emotions, making communication much easier. I met a girl there, and the conversation lasted for several hours. Then, we exchanged contacts, and we met in person a couple of weeks later. We've been together for six months, and it all started with video chat. Of course, not all acquaintances grow into serious relationships, but if you approach them consciously, you can meet someone suitable for you.

I think it all depends on people's attitude when they come to video chat. Some people are just having fun, while others are looking for an interesting companion. In any case, just like in real life, the main thing is finding a person you feel comfortable with.
