Is manual data entry slowing down your supply chain?

I’ve been noticing a serious lag in our supply chain operations lately. We’re based in Riyadh, and while the market is booming, our internal logistics feel like they’re stuck in the 90s. Every time a shipment arrives, someone has to manually type the details into our "master" spreadsheet, which then has to be emailed to accounting. By the time everyone is on the same page, we’ve already lost two days of potential sales. I’m starting to think our "reliable" old methods are actually our biggest bottleneck. Has anyone found a way to automate this flow without a massive IT department?

You are definitely not alone in that frustration! According to this guide on digital transformation https://mid-east.info/beyond-spread...utions-are-transforming-businesses-in-riyadh/ manual data entry is one of the biggest threats to competitiveness in the Saudi market today. We faced the exact same lag until we moved to a cloud-based ERP. Now, the moment the warehouse scans a shipment, the finance and sales teams see it instantly. It removes those "dead days" where you're just waiting for information to travel from one desk to another. In the current Vision 2030 environment, speed is everything, and manual spreadsheets just can't compete with automated, real-time data sync.

The idea of "dead days" perfectly describes our situation; I think it’s time we look into automating that data flow.
