Yes, ranking is still there in SEO. But it is not the same as before.
In the past, SEO really came down to getting to the top of Google, if your site was the first one people saw for whatever they have typed in, you would get the most traffic. The thing you wanted to do was plain to see: get a better ranking, and get more people to your site.
These days, though, it is not like that at all. Google does not give out the same results to all of us. What shows up changes depending on where you are, what you are using, and what you have looked for before.
Because of this, ranking is no longer one fixed number. It keeps changing.
But ranking still matters. Most people do not go to the second page of search results. They click on links they see at the top. If your website does not appear near the top, it becomes hard to get traffic.
The difference today is that SEO is not only about one keyword. It is about answering user questions properly. Google now focuses on useful content. It checks if the page gives clear information. It also looks at website speed, mobile friendliness, and trust.
So the concept of ranking has not disappeared. It has evolved. Instead of chasing only the number one spot, businesses now focus on visibility and relevance.
In simple words, ranking still exists. But good SEO today means building helpful content and strong website quality, not just targeting one keyword.
Companies like Originate Soft or others who have adapted to this strategy will survive in the search engine optimization world, and those who have not upgraded themselves will fall behind.
