Is there any practical way to open DBX files on Windows 10 or Windows 11?

I recently found some old Outlook Express email files saved as DBX on an external hard drive. The problem is that I am now using Windows 11 and Outlook Express is no longer available. I tried a few manual methods but none of them seem to open the DBX files properly. Some folders contain important emails and attachments that I need to access again. Has anyone successfully opened DBX files on Windows 10 or Windows 11 without using an old computer? I would like to keep the folder structure and email details intact if possible. Looking for practical suggestions from anyone who has dealt with this situation.

Yes, there are some practical solutions to open DBX files on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Since Outlook Express is no longer supported, you can’t open DBX files natively in Windows. The simplest way is to utilise a trusted tool like Softaken DBX to PST Converter, which allows you to explore and read the emails contained in the file. It also converts DBVX files into different formats to access data in modern email clients. These solutions are available and will generally be the easiest method for accessing old Outlook Express email archives on newer Windows computers.
