Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on a Salesforce migration project where we’re importing customer data from an older CRM system into Salesforce. The main issue I’m facing is handling duplicate records and maintaining relationships between Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities during the import process.
I’ve tried using Data Loader and some duplicate matching rules, but after testing, a few duplicate contacts are still getting created. I’m also concerned about losing related activity history during the migration.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation before?
What’s the best approach or tool for cleaning and validating data before migration into Salesforce?
Any suggestions or real-world tips would really help. Thanks in advance!
