Hey folks,
I am looking at a small bump in AP capacity on a Cisco 2504 controller that has been running quietly for years without many changes. The site needs five more access points and the LIC-CT2504-5A license seems like the cleanest way to get there. The only thing holding me back is that older controllers sometimes react strangely when you change licensing or increase AP loads.
If anyone here has installed LIC-CT2504-5A recently, I would appreciate hearing how it went:
I am hoping this is a simple expand-and-done situation, but I want to know what to expect before I commit. Any real world experiences with ORM Systems LIC-CT2504-5A would be helpful. Thanks!

If anyone here has installed LIC-CT2504-5A recently, I would appreciate hearing how it went:
- Did the controller accept the license file without complaining, or did you need to tweak anything first?
- After adding the license, did all five new APs join normally?
- Did you have to upgrade the firmware for the controller to show the updated AP capacity?
- And once everything was running, did the controller stay stable in terms of CPU and memory usage during busy hours?
