DA (Domain Authority) and PA (Page Authority) are metrics developed by Moz, a software company that specializes in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tools. These metrics are used to evaluate the strength and authority of a website or webpage in the eyes of search engines, particularly Google.
- Domain Authority (DA): Domain Authority is a metric that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). It is scored on a scale of 1 to 100, with higher scores indicating a greater ability to rank. DA is based on various factors, including the number of linking root domains, the quality of those domains, and other link-related factors. A higher DA suggests that a website is more authoritative and trustworthy in the eyes of search engines.
- Page Authority (PA): Page Authority is similar to DA but focuses on the authority of individual pages on a website, rather than the entire domain. Like DA, PA is scored on a scale of 1 to 100, with higher scores indicating a greater ability to rank. PA is influenced by factors such as the number and quality of inbound links, the relevance of the content, and the overall authority of the website.
