What is Indexing and SEPR?

"Indexing" is a term from computer science that refers to the categorized storage of information (data) in such a way that the information can be quickly retrieved via an "index" of "key" (field/data) information. The index itself is external to the core database and a database structure may be indexed in multiple ways, each indexing method represented by a separate "physical" index.

Indexing is the processing of the information gathered by the Googlebot from its crawling activities. Once documents are processed, they are added to Google's searchable index if they are determined to be quality content. During indexing, the Googlebot processes the words on a page and where those words are located.

A search engine results page, or SERP, is the web page that appears in a browser window when a keyword query is put into a search field on a search engine page. The list of results generally includes a list of links to pages that are ranked from the most popular to the least popular from the number of hits for the particular keyword. The list will include not only the links, but also a short description of each page, and of course, the titles of the web page. The term “search engine results page” may refer to a single page of links returned by a query or the entire set of links returned.

Indexing is updating the cached webpages in search engine database. Indexed webpages are now ready for search engine rankings.

A search engine results page (SERP) is the page displayed by a search engine in response to a query by a searcher. The main component of the SERP is the listing of results that are returned by the search engine in response to a keyword query.

If we talk about SEO, indexing is about search engines to add or to list your site's links on their SERP (not SEPR). SERP consists of Search Engine Result Page. If you have no idea how to get better rank on Google, you may ask for help from SEO specialist. All SEO learners know offpage SEO, onpage SEO, linkbuilding, etc. But, without some combination of creative SEO strategies, the competition will never end. Shortly, the strategy is how to make zero competition, and get your keywords rank on the top of the SERP.

Indexing is the storage of your website in search engine's database while SERPs are the results returned by the crawler as per the search term entered by the user.

Indexing - Indexing means the information searched by many people and find it useful then google stored it permanently in the databases.

SERP - Search engine results pages are web pages served to users when they search for something online using a search engine, such as Google. The user enters their search query (often using specific terms and phrases known as keywords), upon which the search engine presents them with a SERP.

This indexing process is a simple file management technique that organizes data into special file folders, similar to a file label in a file cabinet. Internet search engines use special indexing techniques that store Meta data about web sites and content.
SERP, short for Search Engine Results Page, is the listing of results on search engines in relation to a query using one or more keywords that a user has entered. The pages of results that you will see are the SERPs.
