What is Pogo-Sticking

Pogo sticking occurs when a user performs a search, clicks on a result, very quickly clicks back to the search result page, and clicks on a different result. This type of behavior is a direct result of immediate dissatisfaction in the search result, and—unlike bounce rate—pogo sticking is always a bad thing.

Pogo-sticking is defined as going back and forth from a search engine results page (SERP) to an individual search result destination site. In other words, pogo-sticking is when the searcher clicks on a link on a SERP, sees that it's not what she is looking for, and immediately bounces off by hitting the back button

search something in google. click on any 1 result .. open the website... you will not find the info you are looking for so you go back and click on another website from the search engine results. you find the info you are searxching for ... you pass good time in that site... this is pogo sticking... and google rank brain will count this behaviour and downrank the first website boosting another with better results.

Pogo-staying is characterized as backpedaling and forward from a web search tool comes about page (SERP) to an individual query item goal website. As it were, pogo-staying is the point at which the searcher taps on a connection on a SERP, sees that it's not what she is searching for, and instantly bobs off by hitting the back catch.
