Nofollow links do not pass PageRank. Therefore, using a nofollow link means that link won't pass PageRank (a Google-only measurement of the quantity and quality of links) to another page.

The no follows tag allows a site to add a link that abstains from being an editorial vote. Using no follow is a safe way to buy links because it's a machine-readable way to specify that a link doesn't have to be counted as a vote by a search engine.

Hi, no follow hyperlink does not influence the ranking of the link's target in the search engine's index but you can still get benefits from it like if anybody can the place where your link is and find it interesting so they can get visit your site.
