The reason everyone is online is because it’s less expensive to publish online & much faster to distribute your story (or podcast, videoblog, whatever) to the entire world that you could have done with traditional media.

1. Level playing field - big, medium and small biz all on same platform. At end of the day one can bid and showcase their products/ services to the end customer - the one with a better quality & price will get a chance to prove their expertise.
2. Establishing your brand- Digital marketing helps to to establish your brand irrespective of the size of your business, how many outlets you may have etc.
3. Lower costs - Digital marketing can work with lesser costs since a company can sell its product through PPC advertising which is cheaper than TV, Print etc
4. Exposure - Traditional marketing had geographical restriction whereas in Digital Marketing you consumer can be located in any part of the world
5. On line optimisation and real time tracking of ads is possible on Digital Marketing thru Google Analytics which is not possible in Traditional mktg
6. Not intrusive - DM users have an option of opting out. TM can have problems like phone calls at odd hours
